Jay Whidbee joined RMC Group in 2021 and brings more than 10 years of experience as a property claims professional. He is experienced handling both commercial and residential claims including direct experience with water, fire, and mold losses.
He is adept at inspecting and writing estimates in multiple estimating platforms, performing re-inspections for major storms and handling large loss claims. Jay also understands the importance of proactive communication, accurate estimating practices and thorough documentation.
Professional accomplishments include receiving the Most Accurate Claims Adjuster Award in 2017 and the Customer Service Excellence Award in 2014, while working for a national IA firm.

Estimated and scoped 30,000 SF of fire and smoke damaged school. -
Church - San Antonio, TX 2021
Estimated damages to interior finishes from water damage caused by water overflow in 20,000 SF three-level church and successfully negotiated rebuild price with contractor. -
Hotel - Houston, TX 2020
Eight-story hotel property sustained damage from sprinkler failure and resulting water damage was not properly mitigated. Loss included code upgrades, new hotel
branding requirements, specialty wall finishes and flooring. Completed estimate and successfully reached agreement with mitigation and rebuild contractors as well as the insured. -
Historic Mansion - Detroit, MI 2014
A polar vortex caused the pipes to freeze and burst in the attic of this four-story, 10,200 SF historic mansion resulting in water damage throughout the home. Specialty finishes included flooring, walls, cabinets, trim and windows. Scoped and estimated the loss and successfully negotiated repairs in excess of $1MM with contractor.
