Jim has a broad background of insurance and construction related experience. He has worked as an adjuster, reinspector, trainer, and manager on residential and commercial claims. His experience involves both staff and catastrophe related claims, handling losses from hurricanes, floods, fires, hailstorms, and earthquakes.
Jim possesses outstanding presentation skills which is a positive influence regarding industry related negotiations.
His thirty plus years within the insurance industry has given him expertise in roofing inspections, damage identification, mitigation and drying, dispute resolution, estimatics, estimate review and analytics.
Jim’s experience owning a custom home building company gives him the experience needed to understand construction management and how it related to insurance losses. He has been responsible for multi-million-dollar property claims and high end residential construction projects.

Evaluated and negotiated manufacturing equipment replacement. Mitigated business interruption and maintained plant operations during Period of Restoration.
Madisonville Christian Fellowship – Madisonville, TXFire loss in Church and school over $2,000,000. Estimated and negotiated mitigation and restoration while maintaining school operations. Provided mitigation management to prevent over scoping and charges.
Laurels of Legend Oak – Austin, TXLed group to inspect, scope and estimate weather-related damages from hail loss on 54 individual condominium units over $1,000,000. Negotiated the agreed upon replacement valuations.
Kledean Investments – Tulsa, OKFlood loss in 200 room hotel over $8,000,000. Managed mitigation and estimated restoration for attorney represented clients.
Eastside Church of Christ – Kermit, TXFire loss on 50- year-old church over $1,200,000. Created rebuild estimate from photos and interviews with church members.
Howard County Junior College – Big Spring, TXLed a group of building consultants that inspected the college campus and related buildings for hail damage. This included administration buildings, classrooms, residence halls, theaters, maintenance building, sports facilities, and large agricultural complexes. Prepared multi-million-dollar estimates and valuations for a variety of buildings and structures.
City Bella on Lyndale – Richfield, MIConsulted on large water loss for a sixteen-story multi-use residential and retail complex. Managed mitigation and restoration of twenty-nine retail and residential units, including elevators, fire safety systems, and common areas. Coordinated between multiple mitigation vendors, restoration vendors, and adjusters.
