Scott Ober is a Building Consultant with 20+ years in the construction and restoration industry. Experienced and qualified in the estimating, producing projects in residential and commercial structures which include time duration and costs budgets for each project. Construction experience started with working as a framing carpenter on multiple custom homes which then turned into being a general contractor and building supervisor for residential home building.

Following new residential home building, Scott Ober entered the water mitigation and restoration fields. Utilizing his experience in new home building contracting and building management he continued to work on large loss mitigation and complete restoration projects for 15+ years prior to joining the RMC Group. Scott Ober’s experience continued to grow from Sales and Estimating Manager to Director of Operations with a local general contractor in the restoration industry provided him the experience and insight to produce projects involving all types of water mitigation, smoke, fire and structure damage.

    Estimated multiple residential and commercial projects throughout Central Ohio totaling $3M+ from tornado damages.
  • Water Loss - 2024

    Assessed damages and estimated for repairs from a water loss on a commercial building that covered 243,000 sf of finished space, with loss exceeding $1.5M+.
  • Maui Wildfires - Maui, HI - 2023

    Assisted in the response to catastrophic wildfire event, assess and provide estimates for 400+ separate assignments totaling nearly $400M.
  • Dayton, OH Tornado - 2019

    Estimated and executed repairs to multiple large loss residential and commercial structures devastated from the tornado. 
  • Courtyard Marriott Fire - 2016

    Estimated and coordinated mitigation and repairs on large fire loss with extensive damage to exterior and interior of the hotel including all 78 rooms, conference room and indoor pool.
  • Moscow, OH Tornado - 2012

    Estimated repairs for 50+ residential homes in the village of Moscow which included historical homes 150+ years of age. 
  • Gateway Towers Fire - 2010

    Estimated large fire loss on a 25-story high rise apartment complex with over 50 apartment units affected. Managed the production team from initial water mitigation to final building repairs which involved intricate coordination and supervision with 100+ residents making it a very complex project. 
  • Louisville, Flooding - 2009

    Estimated, consulted as well as managed water mitigation efforts on various large commercial buildings including Church Hill Downs, Norton Hospital and Kindred Hospital.
  • Hurricane Ike - 2008

    Estimated over 400 structures damaged in Cincinnati Ohio metropolitan area. Structures included residential, commercial, schools and religious institutes.
